Hip-Hop Rumors: Bump J FREE!?! Jim Jones' Reality Show? Mike Jones ...
I was all hyped up to see Jim Jones in the reality show they were filming on VH1, but I don't know what's become of it. It is going around that there was tension between Jim and the producers of the show. There is no such thing as a true reality show, but there is something called “scripted reality." That's what Run and the family do. And that works for some, but Jim Jones is the real deal. I heard he just wasn't with the script and wasn't able to flip it to fit his mode of operation. All the filming is supposedly done, but the editing is very tricky with a reality-based stickler like Jim Jones the Capo. BUMP J IS FREE! I'll never forget bumpin' Chicagorilla, Bump J's mixtape. I was waiting for the official album.
A talented student rebuilds his life after battling depression - and ...
On the evening of Sept. 28, at an apartment complex in King of Prussia, a tragedy and a miracle occurred 2.5 seconds apart. The tragedy took place when Jordan Burnham, 18, a senior just nominated to the homecoming court at Upper Merion High School, jumped out his ninth-floor window. The miracle happened 90 feet below, when he hit the ground at 50 m.p.h. - and survived. Jordan has no recollection of going out the window. Even though he was suffering from depression, neither he nor anyone close to him ever expected him to do something so impulsive, so lethal. "I had everything to live for," he says now. Today, 114 days later, Jordan's body remains badly broken. With the help of three therapists, he stood on his right leg last week for 60 seconds. He still cannot stand on his left leg, encased in scaffolding.
Ponderings from PapaBear
I see that there are already many great blogs posted on last nights BCS Title Game and another recap is not needed. However, I have a few final thoughts on this game and the Buckeye season. First, congratulations to Les Miles and his LSU Tigers. They were the dominate team on both sides of the ball for the final three quarters of this game and are deserving Champions. For the past month I was slowly able to convince myself that the Buckeyes had a shot at a victory in this game. In order for them to pull off the upset they would of had to play the perfect game. Their overall team effort was certainly better than the one the they put forth in last years game against Flordia, but perfect they were not. Turnovers and really stupid penalties kept this game from being close and the final result was much the same as last year...A sizeable loss.
Elling's Short Game
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Pardon the choice of words, but the imagery is of their own making. For Golfweek magazine, the noose tightened on Thursday. One day after the controversial cover artwork on Golfweek became the hottest topic in golf, a top PGA Tour official said that some of its advertising scheduled to run in the publication might be pulled. This week's cover image on the magazine is a hangman's noose, a provocative reference to the live comments uttered on the air Jan. 4 by Golf Channel broadcaster Kelly Tilghman, which caused a firestorm in golf circles. Already this week, PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem and PGA of America CEO Joe Steranka have expressed either disappointment or outrage at the decision to feature such a controversial and racially sensitive image on one of the game's largest publications.

Perhaps you remember Chingy's '03 party-rap hit Right Thurr. If not, too bad -- you won't find much here to remember him by. The St. Loo rapper's forgettable fourth disc consists mostly of lightweight beats and poppy synth melodies, topped with the ever-mellow Chingy's nasal sing-song vocals and repetitive lyrics. You might not hate it, but there's little to love here eithurr. .
