Perhaps you remember Chingy's '03 party-rap hit Right Thurr. If not, too bad -- you won't find much here to remember him by. The St. Loo rapper's forgettable fourth disc consists mostly of lightweight beats and poppy synth melodies, topped with the ever-mellow Chingy's nasal sing-song vocals and repetitive lyrics. You might not hate it, but there's little to love here eithurr. .

Black Sea Gallery manager Moe Sari believes his furniture business was affected by the slowdown in the housing industry. When admissions officers gather to create a freshman class, there is a large elephant in the room, wrote Jennifer Delahunty Britz, in The New York Times last week: the desire to minimize gender imbalance in their classes. Britz, the admissions dean at Kenyon College, wrote that her institution gets far more applications from women than from men and that, as a result, men are "more valued applicants." Britz discussed a female candidate who was considered borderline by the Kenyon team but who — had she been a he — would have been admitted without hesitation. .

Gadgets Scientists Devise Brighter LEDs via Nano-imprint Lithography
The LED, or Light Emitting Diode, has been around since the late 60's but only over the last few years have LEDs made headway into commercial mainstream use. Some new vehicles now use LED's in headlights and taillights. The benefits of this are brighter light and much improved life span for the bulbs. Some stop lights also use LEDs to combat against the hazard of a stop light burning out. Of more interest to technophiles is the advent of LEDs for use as backlighting in our notebook computers, such as the recently announced Dell Latitude XT tablet PC, and other personal electronic devices. LEDs promise less power consumption in out notebooks thereby increasing battery life. LEDs are also slowly making their way into our flat panel TVs such as the Samsung 31-inch OLED panel DailyTech reported on last week.
